24 Days of Kindness Challenge: Day 11

ByLeah ✨ Community Manager /

Today we challenge you to write an online review for your favourite restaurant or store.

Especially for local places suffering due to the pandemic, writing a recommendation is an act of kindness. Research reports that 91% of consumers read online reviews and having more positive ratings can encourage more clients. A fantastic review can help a business generate more income and expand their customer reach.

If a store or restaurant has gone above and beyond when serving you, writing a great review is a simple way to return the favour.

Write online reviews all the time? Share your experiences on our world map. See previous 24 Days of Kindness Challenge prompts here.

  • I had worked a night shift and went to a restaurant for breakfast. It was a day before my birthday, so I decided I would buy someone's breakfast. When my server brought my check, I told her I wanted to buy someone breakfast. so she chose an older couple, added their bill to mine, and I paid then left. I don't know what she told them, but I hope they had a great day.

The Steam Dream Team rocks! I've been a fan of the Steam Tea House (http://steamtea.ca) and their wonderful teas for a very long time. Now I'm learning that they are stepping up. In spite of challenges they are facing having to shift all of their business online, they are donating $1 from every 100g of tea sold to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, Greater Vancouver Food Banks, and Downtown Eastside Women's Center. What beautiful act of kindness.
